Introduction to Permaculture Weekend

The Transition Glastonbury Food Group in collaboration with Wild Heart Permaculture and South-West based Permaculture designer, Gary Finch are hosting an Introduction to Permaculture weekend this March.

Taking place in Compton Dundon, just outside Glastonbury on Saturday 31st March – Sunday 1st April, 9am-5pm both days. £70 for the weekend with concessionary places available. Both days include a local organic lunch. Camping facilities are available for people not local to Somerset.

What will the course involve?

On this introductory weekend, you’ll be given an overview of what permaculture is all about & how it can help you to design a lifestyle for yourself that is both more sustainable & at the same time more abundant.

You will be introduced to the ethics of permaculture & some of its principles & design methods. You will enjoy both indoor & outdoor sessions, delivered using creative & inclusive methods. You will also get to see some permaculture in action at a beautiful 4 acre smallholding in the village & have an opportunity to engage in some simple practical activities that you can implement when you return home. You will leave with some tips, that will help you to start bringing permaculture into your own life & know where to go next to learn more.

Please note this is a not for profit event. All course fees will be covering expenses and any surplus will be used to help fund the activities of the Transition Glastonbury Food Group throughout 2012 as well as offset concessionary places during the weekend.
